1929 Tsawwassen Drive North
Delta, BC V4M 4G4
Indigenous Perspectives Society has provided Tsawwassen First Nation with funding to help shape the way children in the care of MCFD are connected to culture. We would like to bring together community voices to speak on what needs to be done in order to ensure culture is kept alive—even when families are involved in MCFD.
Members are invited to come and build, design and paint a drum – all supplies will be provided. Honoraria will be given for bringing your voice to this important subject ($50 honorarium for each session).
On the last day after the drums are finished, we will have some time that will be for question and answer for the community to bring their voices to the topic of ensuring MCFD keeps culture alive for the families they serve. There will be an additional $100 honorarium for participating in this.
There are 50 spots open on a first come-first serve basis. Call Lesh to reserve your spot.
In order to ensure that all voices are heard we will be filming this event and making a short video that will be
played for the community to ensure they are in agreement with the content before it gets dispersed. Consent forms will be signed at the start of the project.
