FSC Chinook Fishery – 36 hrs

There are no mesh width restrictions, but nets must be maximum 60 meshes depth and maximum 50 fathoms length. All
steelhead and sturgeon must be released.
It is mandatory that the first three salmon caught be submitted to the Natural Resources Department for the
purpose of the First Fish Ceremony.

Regalia Workshop (*Registration Full*) @ TFN Rec Centre

Open to TFN Community Members only
Are you interested in making your own regalia? You can choose to either make a paddle vest or a shawl.
There will be 4 classes with 10 people maximum to register – due to TFN only having 4 sewing machines.
You must register in order to make your own regalia. (Note: We will be offering 2 more workshops in July & October as well)
If you own your own sewing machine, feel free to come down with your sewing machine to participate and/or to volunteer to help out with basic sewing.

BC Provincial Election 2017 – Advance Voting @ TFN Recreation Centre

c̓əc̓əw̓itəl Helping Each Other Project Workshop Series @ TFN Recreation Centre

As part of the c̓əc̓əw̓itəl Helping Each Other Project, the TFN Health and Social Services Team and Project Community Advisory Group is excited to announce a series of workshops on the history of TFN, how it affects the community today, and how TFN is moving forward as a Nation.

These interactive workshops will provide an opportunity to learn about traditional knowledge and to facilitate a healing journey. They will be facilitated by Elder Bruce Robinson and Jeff Schiffer. Bruce is a traditional healer from Nisga’a Nation who works at several Indigenous organizations, including Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services and Urban Native Youth Association. Jeff is Métis and works at the Office of Indigenization at the Justice Institute of BC. We hope that you will join us! Lunch is provided for all workshops.
