SUMMARY:Tsawwassen Salmon Habitat Mapping Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Tsawwassen First Nation\, University of Victoria\, and the First Nations Fisheries Legacy Fund are partnering on a project to understand change in salmon habitats in Tsawwassen territory using historical materials\, drones\, and community knowledge.  We invite you to join us for an evening of sharing knowledge\, stories\, and learning. \nWe will have a variety of materials available to explore\, including: \n\nAir photos of Tsawwassen Lands from 1922\nHistorical maps and nautical charts of TFN territory from the late 1800’s\nA map of historical wetlands\, stream channels and sloughs\n2024 drone imagery of the Tsawwassen foreshore and Brunswick point collected by TFN and UVic\n\nWe are also hoping to hear from TFN community members about their knowledge of historical habitat conditions\, changes to habitat over time\, and visions for salmon habitat in the future.

SUMMARY:Berry Picking at Emma Lea Farms
DESCRIPTION:Berry picking season is here and Members are invited to come out to Emma Lea Farms to get their berries! TFN will be purchasing and distributing buckets (one per Member – please note that policies have changed and bringing your own bucket is no longer permitted\, see Guidelines below). Adults will receive a 5L bucket and children 14 and under will receive a basket that holds 1lb of berried.  Lunch will also be provided.
