A house post blessing ceremony was held yesterday (Wednesday, Nov. 27) on Tsawwassen Lands to honour the relationship between GWL/HOOPP (Great West Life Realty Advisors/Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) and TFN.
The house posts were carved by TFN artists Karl Morgan and Sarah Lang and placed into the ground at the corner of Salish Sea Way and 41B.
Chief Ken Baird served as Speaker for the event, while Michael Reed Director of Development GWL Realty Advisors, Geoff Heu Vice President of Development GWL Realty Advisors, Executive Councillor Steve Stark, Chris Holtved Senior Portfolio Manager HOOPP and Elder and former Chief Tony Jacobs served as witnesses.
Shirley Larden, Ruth Adams, Louise Ahlm and Barb Joe conducted the brushing off ceremony, as Connie and Jesseca Adams drummed. Former Chief Bryce Williams completed the event with a song.
