Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) is seeking a metal wrapped-around column design with Coast Salish concepts by TFN Artists. Artists are invited to provide 3 conceptual designs for a metal wrapped-around column around the structural column located outside the dining room of the new Elders Centre. The column may consist of carved shapes out of metal (steel, aluminium, etc.) or of artwork with animals, people, etc. that tells a story. The column is to be backlit: light located inside the column will illuminate the shapes outward. Please note, TFN aims to have two welcome figures at the entrance of the new Elders Centre, similar to what exists at the Youth Centre.
