November 8 is recognized as National Indigenous Veterans Day in Canada. It is a day or remembrance in recognition of the Indigenous contributions to military service, particularly in the first and second World Wars and the Korean War. The First Nations, Inuit and Métis of Canada have a long and proud tradition of military service to Canada.
Tsawwassen First Nation would like to share these posters, in recognition of our Indigenous Veterans and families: Tsawwassen Veterans
TFN would also like to invite our Members to join us in celebrating our veterans today at the TFN Rec Centre. Doors will open at 9:30 am. We encourage you to bring your drums. Please join us in remembering our Indigenous Veterans with pride and respect.
