First Nations Leadership Council: Election Package

The First Nations Leadership Council (FNLC) has compiled the following 2024 Provincial Election Package and requests that it be shared with local communities:

The 2024 provincial election will be a close race, and First Nations voters have the power to decide its outcome. FNLC is dedicated to reshaping First Nation-Crown relations in BC, creating real, lasting change for our children, families, and communities. It is crucial to encourage First Nations citizens to vote on October 19th, especially considering political party positions on the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act and government-to-government relationships.

To support participation, the FNLC has prepared a 2024 Provincial Election Package for all 204 First Nations in BC. It includes:

  • Questions posed to the Conservative Party of BC, BC Greens, and BC NDP;
  • Responses from the parties;
  • Basic voting information from Elections BC.

Please note, the Conservative Party of BC did not answer FNLC questions, providing only their economic reconciliation platform as a response.
