The syáləxʷe k̓ʷam̓k̓ʷəm̓stəx Census is an important initiative for Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) Members and their families. The Census launched on November 25, 2025, and closed February 8th 2026.
The information provided by Tsawwassen Members and non-Member caregivers of Member-children will guide long-term planning for our community and supports the future of our people, identity, and community well-being.
Why was participation in the Census important
By completing the Census, you directly contributed to the governance and future of Tsawwassen First Nation. The information gathered will help guide critical decisions in areas such as:
- Housing, Health, and Education: Ensuring our community has the resources it needs to thrive.
- Language and Cultural Programs: Strengthening Tsawwassen culture and identity.
- Long-range Planning: The Census helps us plan for the future and prioritize the needs of our people.
- Hard-to-Reach and Vulnerable Members: This information allows us to address the needs of all our Members, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Your participation also helps us identify successes, challenges, gaps, and community needs, allowing us to continuously improve our services and programs.
Once available, updates and summary reports will be published on this webpage and made available in the Community Notice. Printed copies will be available upon request.
Privacy and Confidentiality
We respect your privacy. All data collected through this Census is confidential and will be used exclusively for TFN planning purposes. Your responses will not be tied back to you personally, and they will have no impact on any of your TFN distributions or benefits.
Basic demographic information for the community may be made available through the BC First Nations Regional Information Governance Centre (BCRIGC) to support collaborative planning across First Nations communities in British Columbia.
