Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) is seeking expressions of interest from TFN artists for the design of the Veterans Memorial Pole to honour TFN Members and Indigenous veterans who served in WW1, WW2, and the Korean War. The memorial pole will be 12ft (height) by 2ft (diameter) red cedar house post, grounded in Coast Salish traditions, reflecting TFN cultural values and military protocol. This pole will be a central feature of the new TFN Veterans Memorial, located at the new Elders Centre, and is expected to be unveiled on November 8, 2025, in recognition of National Indigenous Veterans Day.
