Tsawwassen First Nation will be honouring Chief Ken Baird with a Chieftain Blanketing Ceremony on Thursday April 7th, 2022. TFN will also be honouring members of Executive Council and Legislature with commercialized versions of his blanket.

Unfortunately, because we are still living in unprecedented times and to protect those that are immunocompromised, we ask that this remain a small ceremony with those being blanketed and cultural workers in attendance only.

The ceremony will be livestreamed, as per the Chief’s wishes, so that Tsawwassen Members and community are able to witness this important ceremony. The video of the ceremony is available on our Livestream page (https://livestream.com/tfn/blanket-2022)
