Let Your Lawn Go Gold This Summer

While it can rain a lot in Metro Vancouver, most precipitation falls from November through April. Our summers can be long and dry – and that’s when we use the most water.

In fact, water use in our region can increase by 50% in summer and early fall, largely as a result of lawn watering and other outdoor uses.

Let your lawn go dormant this summer. Its green will return with autumn rains. Whether tap or hose, it’s all drinking water that we need.

As part of Metro Vancouver, Tsawwassen First Nation observes regional Lawn Watering Regulations, which are in effect from May 1 to October 15.
