UPDATE: the family of Chief Ken Baird will be at the TFN Elders Centre today (Wed Aug 3rd) at 4:30 pm to gather together with those who wish to pay their respects today.
It is with great sorrow that the Baird family announces that Chief Swәnnәset Ken Baird passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on August 2, 2022. A respected and loved Tsawwassen elder and leader, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents Lorne Baird and Edith Baird (nee Joe), stepfather David (Brownie) Brown, and his little brother David.
Ken is survived by his loving and devoted wife Cindy, his children Cody, Christina, Coral (Kaitlin), Riley (Kiana), Griffin, Quentin, his brothers Terry (Penny), Mike (Laura), sister Kim, his grandchildren Sienna, Larrah, Makenna, Cashmir, Perseus, his nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
Chief Ken was a compassionate, wise, and kind leader who loved his family, the Tsawwassen people, and his culture with all his heart.
