Tsawwassen First Nation joined Euroasia in celebrating their grand opening last Friday, with a House Post Blessing of carvings created by TFN artist Bryce Williams.
Executive Councillor Steve Stark was speaker for the event, while four Members performed the service of brushing off the carvings as one Member drummed.
Angie and Tanjit Kalhar, owners of the Euroasia company, thanked TFN for the partnership and welcomed a strong and ongoing relationship in the years ahead.
The prayer was spoken by Merle Williams, and Bryce Williams closed the ceremony with the canoe song he learned in Haida Gwaii and gifted to TFN while he served as Chief.
Euroasia is located at 3995 27B Avenue, across from the Amazon fulfilment Centre. One carving stands close to the road, and another to the main entrance of the building. With the carvings from Karl Morgan at Amazon, TFN has a strong visual presence in this area.
