Photos: Pink Shirt Day at TFN

Tsawwassen First Nation held a rally against bullying on Feb. 26, the official Pink Shirt Day, at the TFN Sports Field.

Members and TFN Staff turned out to show support for Pink Shirt Day, a day in which people throughout Canada wear pink in symbolism of the ongoing fight against bullying.

TFN Members Isabella Corbet and Bryce Williams were recognized for their artistic design contributions to the t-shirts.
Bryce Williams designed a hand with an eye in the centre to replace the “O” in “Bullying Stops Here!” for the front of the shirt. Isabella Corbet designed hummingbirds inside hearts for the back.

The topic of bullying has been an extremely important topic in recent years, especially as discussions about lateral violence in indigenous communities becomes more recognized.
