Speed Watch Volunteers Keeping TFN Safe

With school back in session, volunteers are back on the streets of Tsawwassen First Nation, helping the Delta Police in their quest to keep our roads safe from speeding cars.

The Speed Watch is a B.C. program with over 20 years of partnership between police agencies, ICBC and volunteers, aimed at educating the public about their speed. ICBC provides the equipment and training, police provide support for volunteers and enforcement when necessary.

Of course, nothing would be possible without the help of volunteers (pictured above).

For drivers, please note that ICBC, along with police agencies, have the following Road Safety Campaigns:

October
• Drive Relative to Conditions Campaign (Police targeting speeders, protecting pedestrians)
• Shift Into Winter (Road conditions change, so adjust your speed for rain/snow)
