TFN Community Garden

Check out our photos from the Work Party at the TFN Community Garden last week!
On May 28, the TFN Community Garden was abuzz with activity! Nikki Lorenz, Lands Manager along with KPU staff was at the plots from 8:30am – 12pm. Members were able to learn hands-on planting, sowing, weed removal and also collect some spring seedlings from the KPU Farm School, for planting at the gardening plots near the Admin building or in their own yards.
Plots that have not been taken up by Members have been planted for the community’s use. Please wait for the “to pick” signs to go up on these before picking from these common plots!
Thanks to the KPU team for bringing the saplings and new soil and for working hard on making our garden look beautiful!
Thanks also to our Public Works team for building new garden boxes!
Thanks to every Member that came out to make this a success! Some young gardeners had a fun day in the sun!
