Tsawwassen Government is inviting TFN Members to an information session regarding the proposed WesPac Tilbury Marine Jetty Project, located within Tsawwassen’s traditional territory. The meeting will be facilitated by staff from TFN’s Policy and Intergovernmental Affairs’ Territory Management branch, along with PGL Environmental Consultants.
Where: TFN Rec Centre
When: Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 5-7:30pm
The proponent, WesPac, is proposing to build a marine jetty adjacent to the existing FortisBC liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility on Tilbury Island in the Fraser River. The project would allow for the transfer of LNG from that facility to barges and oceangoing vessels. The proposed project began its environmental review in 2015.
The purpose of this meeting is to continue engagement already started with Members on this proposed Project. Topics on the agenda will include:
- update on recent Project development;
- overview on issues and priorities raised by TFN to date;
- and Member questions and consultation.
Dinner and honorarium will be provided to Members.
