Earlier this summer Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) undertook an initiative to expand non-Member resident representation on the existing Leasehold Residents Advisory Committee (LRAC). The purpose of this Committee is to advise Tsawwassen Government on matters that significantly impact residents of the leasehold areas on Tsawwassen Lands. With the ongoing development of residential leasehold areas, TFN’s objective was to increase membership on the Committee to include areas that are not currently represented. Residents interested in participating were asked to submit “Expression of Interest” applications, which were carefully considered according to the criteria outlined in the initial communication.
The selection process is now complete and appointments to the LRAC for the current term have been made by TFN’s Executive Council. These appointments will remain in effect until the current term ends on October 31, 2026 unless a Committee member chooses to resign or moves away from TFN Lands. The members of the Leasehold Residents Advisory Committee are:
